Electric Service

The Cooperative's hours of operation are 8 A.M. to 5 P.M. , Monday through Friday.

Membership Made Easy

Any person, firm, corporation or body politic may become a member of the Cooperative by:

Completion of a Membership and Electric Service Agreement application;
Agreeing to purchase electric energy from the Cooperative; and
Agreeing to comply with and be bound by the Articles of Incorporation and Bylaws of the Cooperative and any rules and regulations adopted by the Board of Directors.

How to Obtain an Application:

Come by the CCEC office at 11799 W. U.S. Hwy 82, Muenster, TX 76252
Call the office at (940) 759-2211.
Print out the application from the Forms page, then
Mail, fax or drop off at office. Follow up with CCEC Consumer Service Representative to make sure all documentation has been processed correctly.

Connect Fee

$25.00 connect fee per meter

New Applicants must pay a deposit for residential service if:

You're applying for new service and the credit check determined deposit is required.

Past or present CCECA members must pay a deposit for residential service if:

You've been late paying your electric bill more than twice within the past 12 months; or
Your electric service has been discontinued due to non-payment.
Left outstanding unpaid balance

Residential Security Deposit Requirements:

If required, the deposit for a meter set at a location where a previous history is available - (90% of two months average bills at established location or a minimum of $250.00).
If history is not available at location:

Deposits accrue interest at the rate set by the CCEC's Board of Directors and will be paid to you annually or when the deposit is returned or credited to your account.

Deposits, plus accrued interest, will be returned in (12) twelve months if service has not been disconnected and not more than (2) two late payments in the last (12) twelve months. Deposits will be refunded or applied to an outstanding indebtedness upon termination of service.

General Service Security Deposit Requirements:

Deposit for Oil Wells - The lesser of $50 per connected horsepower or one-sixth (1/6) estimated annual billing.
All other commercial accounts require deposit equal to one-sixth (1/6) of the estimated annual billing rounded down to the nearest $5.00 increments, not less than $250.00.
Deposits, plus accrued interest, will be returned in (24) twenty-four months if service has not been disconnected and not more than (2) two late payments in the last (12) twelve months. Deposits will be refunded or applied to an outstanding indebtedness upon termination of service.
A security deposit will be required on all new commercial accounts, unless a company has an established account with CCEC in the same name for at least 24 months, with no more than two (2) delinquents during the past 12 months.
